Requirements
Must:
- A CISA certification is required.
- Strong understanding of the IT domain, IT control frameworks, and IT-related regulations.
- Experience with control and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, PS21/3, COBIT, DORA, etc.).
- Excellent analytical skills with a rigorous and methodical approach to IT control testing.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Review all available supporting documents, including procedure documents, control descriptions, policy documents, and workflows, and request any missing documentation.
- Optionally perform IT control walkthroughs to validate understanding from document reviews.
- Prepare the IT control test plan, including procedures and sample sizes to be tested.
- Align the IT control test plan with control owners before executing tests.
- Execute IT control testing (including Test of Design and Test of Effectiveness).
- Document testing results accurately.
- Conduct internal quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Update control testing closure in the allocation tracker.
- Provide optional failure remediation support to control owners when necessary.
Description
We are looking for an experienced IT controls testing professional to join our team, working on testing IT controls for a UK financial institution. This role will involve manually testing IT controls related to perimeter security, important business services, resilience, and data management. We require individuals who can effectively engage with control owners to drive efficient and effective IT controls testing while ensuring rigorous reporting. This position will be based onsite in London for 3-4 days a week and is initially offered as a 6-month contract.
