Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in leading the design and implementation of software applications as distributed applications/micro-services.
- Strong understanding of web application security, ensuring it is integral to our codebases for robust and reliable software.
- Experience in supporting quality assurance teams by developing detailed test strategies and unit tests for all software applications.
- Technical proficiency across multiple languages, including Rust and Python (FastAPI), as well as .NET.
- Proficiency in containerization, specifically in creating, managing, and deploying Docker containers in both development and production environments.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and developing relational database schemas for use with MySQL and PostgreSQL services.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry best practices and development principles, including recognition of anti-patterns across software architectures.
- Comfort with developing in a microservices environment, focusing on auto-scaling, loosely coupled, secure, and resilient services.
- Skills in designing and developing REST-based API services using Java (Spring/Spring Boot).
- High-level security clearance is a plus; candidates with prior clearance are encouraged to apply as the role may require a security clearance before appointment, which can take up to a minimum of 10 weeks.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of software applications, ensuring the implementation of security measures from the outset.
- Support the quality assurance team by creating comprehensive testing strategies and unit tests.
- Collaborate across various technical domains, delivering production-quality code in a full-stack environment.
- Manage and deploy Docker containers effectively, ensuring smooth operation in both development and production settings.
- Design and develop robust relational database schemas that meet our application requirements.
- Uphold industry best practices in all development efforts and mentor team members on good working practices.
- Develop and maintain microservices that are secure, scalable, and resilient to meet business needs.
- Create and support REST-based API services efficiently to facilitate seamless integration.
