Requirements
Must:
- Strong background in 5G/4G Architecture, including 5G SA/NSA architecture, EPC, 5GC (AMF, SMF, UPF), gNB/eNB design, and Network Slicing.
- Experience with RAN technologies such as gNB, Radio Dots, Small Cell deployment, and RAN planning & optimization.
- Proficiency in Mobile 4G and 5G CORE, IP/MPLS, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, VRFs, DNS/DHCP, NAT.
- Knowledge of security protocols like IPSec, TLS, IAM, 3GPP Security Standards, and Firewall policies.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies including AWS, Docker, OpenStack, and CNFs/VNFs (SDN is optional).
- Understanding of Edge and MEC deployments, edge orchestration, local breakout, and latency optimization.
- Experience in enterprise system integration (IT/OT) and interworking with public networks.
- Familiarity with tools and standards such as 3GPP and Wireshark.
- Understanding of business and regulatory aspects like spectrum licensing (CBRS, n77/n78), ROI analysis, and vendor evaluation.
- Experience in vendor management and defining/validating SLAs, QoS profiles, and network KPIs in private deployments.
- Candidates with high-level security clearance are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- I will provide a tangible vision of how mobile private networks (MPNs) can be implemented and utilized.
- I will produce a proposed design of the solution across the ecosystem, including MPN and connectivity elements.
- I will design solutions in reference to functional and technical requirements.
- I will provide cost estimates for the proposed designs.
Description
This is a fantastic opportunity with a leading organization where I will offer support and development to ensure your success. The role involves a hybrid working arrangement with a total of 10 days required onsite over a 3-month period, with a contract rate of £425 - £450 per day through an umbrella company. Due to the nature of this position, I will prioritize candidates who have held security clearance before, as the successful applicants will need security clearance before appointment, which can take a minimum of 10 weeks.
