Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience delivering SAP ECC and ideally S/4HANA migrations, with strong exposure to FICO / SD / MM.
- A background that started in ABAP or Techno-Functional work, progressing into delivery leadership.
- Strong understanding of the relationship between Functional Consulting and ABAP development, including how to structure specs, manage dependencies, and run integrated delivery.
- Confidence in guiding functional design into robust SAP solutions, balancing SAP standard vs. custom development.
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership experience in complex ERP programmes.
- Solid grasp of technical governance, documentation, and change control.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of core S/4HANA functional and ABAP components, including design, build, configuration, enhancement, and testing.
- Manage and coach a team of Functional Consultants and ABAP developers, ensuring clear alignment between process design and technical execution.
- Own the translation layer between functional requirements and ABAP delivery, ensuring build items are well-specified, feasible, and delivered to SAP standards.
- Partner with the Systems Integrator and business process owners to align functional design, technical approach, and business goals.
- Oversee workstream governance, change control, estimates, and delivery quality across functional and development activities.
- Ensure high-quality technical documentation, solution design artefacts, and traceability from requirements to build and test.
Description
We are looking for an experienced Technical Delivery Lead to own the design and delivery of the ABAP and Core Functional workstream within an SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration. This role is ideal for someone who began their career in ABAP or a Techno-Functional capacity and has stepped into leadership, capable of bridging functional design and technical build. We offer a hybrid work environment with occasional requirements in our London office and a competitive salary up to £75k plus bonus and benefits.
