Requirements

Must:
We are looking for a candidate with expert-level knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse. You should have a strong understanding of automation governance, security, and Centre of Excellence principles, along with experience integrating the Power Platform with Microsoft 365 and external data sources. Familiarity with Azure for deploying and managing automation solutions is essential, as is proficiency in scripting and low-code/no-code development. Additionally, you should understand the full software development lifecycle and have the ability to lead technical delivery and mentor others. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are crucial. If you have further experience in intelligent automation platforms beyond Microsoft Power Automate, such as Blue Prism or UiPath, that would be advantageous. Experience with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and Azure DevOps is also beneficial. You should be able to analyze and model business processes and translate them into technical requirements and automation workflows.

Responsibilities

In this key role, you will support the delivery of our digital transformation strategy by designing, developing, and delivering robust automation solutions. You will lead the technical implementation of our Centre of Excellence (CoE), establish governance frameworks, and ensure the secure and scalable deployment of automation workflows. Collaborating closely with product owners, architects, and delivery partners, you will help shape our automation roadmap and mentor developers to build our internal capability. Your work will focus on building scalable, secure, and user-centered solutions using Microsoft technologies, making a significant impact on efficiency and service delivery.

We support flexible and hybrid working arrangements; this role is primarily home-based, with occasional travel to Northfleet or other Kent Police sites for collaboration, workshops, or stakeholder engagement. In addition, there are incremental salary increases within this band, allowing the position’s salary to rise to a maximum of £56,889.00.
