Requirements
Must:
- Deep expertise in networking within complex, high-traffic environments, ideally in IoT or electronics-heavy organizations.
- Strong background in data center environments, ideally with experience in large ISPs or similar.
- Hands-on experience managing and optimizing LAN/WAN networks and Layer 3 switching.
- Experience or strong interest in hybrid cloud transitions from legacy infrastructure.
- Understanding of security and compliance, with a pragmatic approach to maintaining uptime and resilience.
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the entire networking estate.
- Familiarity with supporting wider infrastructure tools and platforms such as Intune, Active Directory, and endpoint management.
Responsibilities
- Take the lead on network performance, reliability, and future-proofing a large IoT environment.
- Support and maintain 18 Layer 3 switches across on-site and data center locations.
- Manage and optimize LAN/WAN and NOC infrastructure with a particular focus on upload scheduling and time-sensitive data traffic.
- Plan the transition to a hybrid cloud model, migrating from local data centers to the cloud without compromising network security or device uptime.
- Own all aspects of the network, including Disaster Recovery, Data Protection, Security Policies, and compliance.
- Look for ways to reduce costs and improve service performance, such as line procurement and provider negotiation.
- Support colleagues with Active Directory, Intune device management, and contribute to documentation, IT security, and general infrastructure support within a tight-knit team.

With 6,000-7,000 live devices operating across the continent and a complex LAN infrastructure, this position is high-visibility and mission-critical at the heart of our business. You will be working with a massive, high-availability network, dealing with traffic across multiple APIs, customer endpoints, and network environments. We offer a competitive package including a salary range of £55,000 - £60,000, a bonus of up to 15%, private medical insurance (with an option to upgrade to family coverage), matched pension contributions of 5%, and dental and optical cover.
