Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a candidate with strong experience in AWS cloud services related to data, including but not limited to S3, Glue, Redshift, and Lambda. You should have proven expertise in the design and implementation of ETL/ELT pipelines, with excellent proficiency in SQL that allows you to write complex queries and optimize performance. Solid programming skills in Python are essential, along with experience in data wrangling and scripting. Familiarity with data modeling, warehouse design, and version control systems like Git is also critical. Additionally, strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset are necessary to thrive in our team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud-based ETL pipelines to ingest and transform data from various sources. You will work with large datasets to ensure data integrity, quality, and availability across platforms. Your role will involve optimizing and managing data workflows in AWS, and writing clean, efficient SQL for complex data transformations and analytics. Additionally, you will develop and maintain Python scripts and tools for data processing and automation, collaborating with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.

We offer a flexible hybrid work-from-home arrangement, allowing you to work four days a week, with a competitive salary of up to £60,000 and a strong benefits package. We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about shaping the future of our internal and external data infrastructure as part of our growing Data Science team. Desirable experience includes exposure to orchestration tools like Airflow or AWS Step Functions, familiarity with data lake and data mesh architectures, and knowledge of containerization practices (Docker) and CI/CD.
