Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in security installation and commissioning, specifically with CCTV & Access Control systems
- Strong knowledge of integrated security solutions, including access controls and biometric systems
- Proven ability to configure, test, and verify security devices
- Strong troubleshooting skills for installation and device-level issues
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients and team members
- Ability to supervise and mentor less experienced engineers
- Familiarity with British Standards and health and safety regulations
- Relevant certifications in security systems installation and commissioning (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality installation, testing, and system readiness across fire and security systems
- Configure, test, and verify devices to ensure systems are operational, compliant, and ready for handover
- Oversee and support system testing and commissioning, confirming equipment is correctly installed and functioning
- Diagnose and resolve installation and technical issues with sound judgement
- Escalate complex system integration or networking issues to specialist teams
- Act as the senior technical point of contact on site with professional communication
- Supervise and support junior engineers, establishing quality and safety standards
- Maintain accurate installation, testing, and handover documentation
- Ensure compliance with British Standards and company procedures
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement in installation standards
