Requirements
Must:
- I have solid experience as an RPG Developer, particularly on the AS400 / IBM i platform.
- I possess a strong understanding of database structures and business logic within areas such as warehousing, finance, or operations.
- I have proven experience in integrating systems with APIs and/or SFTP processes.
- I demonstrate excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- I maintain a proactive and independent mindset, thriving as part of a small, dynamic development team.
Responsibilities
- I support and enhance existing systems across multiple departments, ensuring smooth operations.
- I develop and integrate new functionalities to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business.
- I collaborate with senior stakeholders to contribute to key technical decisions.
- I work on high-impact projects that span the digital supply chain, including stock, warehousing, finance, and operations.
- I ensure seamless integration of systems with third-party apps, payment providers, logistics partners, and customer-facing platforms via APIs and SFTP.
- I help future-proof the company's systems, ensuring long-term stability and scalability.
Description
As a member of our in-house development team, I will play a vital role in supporting and evolving our robust IBM i platform. We have built a rock-solid core system that integrates seamlessly with various operational and customer-facing platforms. As we continue to grow, my role will ensure our systems remain at the forefront of innovation and efficiency, underpinning the entire organization’s success. This position is based in Telford, Shropshire. I am excited about the opportunity to join a forward-thinking company and make a lasting impact as an RPG Developer.
