Requirements
Must:
- Strong expertise across cloud infrastructure, backend microservices, frontend development, and legacy system support
- Comprehensive skills in AWS (essential) IaC & Terraform
- Proficient in Python for Lambda microservices (essential)
- Knowledge of Node.js backend development (essential)
- Experience with MySQL/RDS administration (essential)
- Familiarity with React, HTML, CSS, and AG Grid
- Understanding of API Gateway & dynamic API integrations
- Strong documentation and communication skills (essential)
- Experience with AWS Amplify workflows
- Ability to support legacy .NET applications
- Proven relevant experience of 3 years or more
- Eligibility to work in the UK on a full-time basis
- Ideally, a valid drivers license due to office location
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure-as-code deployments using Terraform and related tooling
- Manage and optimize serverless microservices, including Lambda functions, API Gateway, and Amplify-hosted applications
- Support and enhance Python-based Lambda microservices and Node.js backend components
- Maintain and develop React-based front-end applications, including complex UI components and dynamic API integrations
- Oversee database administration for MySQL/RDS
- Apply strong security best practices across infrastructure, applications, and data flows
- Provide maintenance and incremental improvements to legacy .NET applications where required
- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation for infrastructure, services, and processes
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams through strong communication and teamwork
Description
We are a leading UK company seeking a versatile and highly skilled Senior Cloud & Full Stack Engineer to support and advance our modern application ecosystem. This temporary contract position offers a competitive hourly rate of £33-43 per hour plus holiday pay and is hybrid with office work required in Central Bedfordshire for meetings once a week.
