Requirements
Must:
- A good understanding of Unix/Linux and SQL knowledge
- Ability to apply the right sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated, punctual, organized, responsible, and proactive in communication
- Strong technical ability for complex issue resolution and prioritization
- Enjoy solving complex problems and the responsive/proactive elements of support
- Ability to communicate effectively, especially during incidents
- Experience with Linux, Apache, MySQL, Perl, PHP (advantageous)
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting systems
- Knowledge of ticketing/workflow systems (e.g. Jira)
- Knowledge of encryption protocols and browser security (PGP) (desirable)
- Customer service or client interaction experience (desirable)
- Development experience (desirable)
- Knowledge of file transfer protocols (e.g., FTP/SFTP) (desirable)
- Experience with networking and firewalls (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Provide UK overnight application support coverage for the APAC time zone
- Monitor production and User Acceptance testing environments
- Investigate, action, and resolve issues impacting internal systems and clients
- Work independently and prioritize tasks in a challenging environment
- Report common issues, analyze root causes, and prevent recurrence
- Respond to internal and external client queries and tickets
- Onboard new services for existing and new clients
- Update system configuration across environments
- Drive continuous improvements of production service and team effectiveness
- Participate in Client Service and Technology meetings
- Handle production incidents and problem management activities
