Requirements
Must:
- I require a candidate with at least 5 years of technical experience either within an MSP environment or an in-house IT department.
- A strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Intune, and Hyper-V is essential.
- Experience managing hybrid environments (both on-prem and cloud) is necessary.
- Proficiency in SQL diagnosis and issue resolution is expected.
- Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup maintenance, upgrades, and recovery checks is crucial.
- A basic understanding of networking concepts such as WatchGuard firewalls, TCP/IP, ports, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching is required.
- Familiarity with security frameworks, backup policies, and governance is advantageous.
- The ideal candidate will be a confident and articulate communicator with superb client-facing experience.
- Ability to take ownership of escalations and project work is a must.
Responsibilities
- In this hybrid role, you will work on cloud and infrastructure projects both remotely and occasionally onsite (approximately one day a month).
- Your projects will include Microsoft 365 rollouts, server upgrades, hybrid migrations, and backup and security management.
- You will collaborate closely with two Cloud Systems Managers within our technical operations team.
- This high-level Cloud Engineer position focuses on Level 2/3 operations, project delivery, and escalations, without any helpdesk or support work being required.
