Requirements
Must:
- Strong familiarity with the Kubernetes ecosystem
- Hands-on cloud engineering experience
- Experience with cluster add-ons, networking (Cilium), policy engines (Kyverno), and autoscaling (Karpenter)
- Capability to build out Namespace-as-a-Service capabilities
- Ability to review and challenge Kubernetes-related architectural proposals
- Proficiency in debugging complex issues across the Kubernetes stack
- Experience reviewing pull requests in Python and Golang that interact with the Kubernetes API
- Familiarity with AWS EKS, Cilium, Kyverno, Karpenter, Python, Golang, Kanban, CNCF Stack, GitOps / CD, Policy as Code, IaC, and Observability
- Visible presence in the cloud native community through open source contributions, community engagement, or conference speaking (preferred but not essential)
Responsibilities
- Lead a distributed engineering team and support their development
- Guide the day-to-day technical direction for the platform
- Define and refine the product vision using customer feedback, stakeholder needs, and market insight
- Set priorities and maintain a clear backlog
- Collaborate closely with application developers, product owners, security and data teams
- Contribute to enterprise architecture reviews to maintain engineering quality and compliance
