Requirements
Must:
- Active DV clearance required
- Strong knowledge of data centre and campus networking technologies
- Hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching, and firewalls
- Experience with Fortinet (Fortigate / FortiSwitch), Palo Alto firewalls, and Juniper SRX
- Experience working with F5 load balancing technologies (global and local)
- VMware NSX experience
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols and L2/L3 networking
- Experience supporting high availability data centre networks
- Experience working in Defence or highly secure environments
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with ownership of complex incidents
- Experience producing technical documentation and working within structured delivery environments
Responsibilities
- Producing network designs and providing engineering expertise within delivery teams
- Designing and implementing modern, scalable network solutions across secure environments
- Supporting both project delivery and operational (BAU) network services
- Leading network management and acceptance activities within the programme
- Working with partner teams to implement new technologies and automation capabilities
- Supporting network integration and assurance across multiple business services
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation including HLDs, LLDs, and work instructions
Description
We are seeking a DV Cleared Network Engineer to join our team in Farnborough or Twickenham, working onsite in a programme delivering critical infrastructure within a secure Defence environment. This is a minimum 6-month contract with the potential for extension, offering a mix of project delivery and business-as-usual tasks. You will be part of a senior delivery team responsible for network design and operational support across complex enterprise and data centre environments, contributing to mission-critical systems.
