Requirements
Must:
- A solid understanding of software development processes; while hands-on coding is not required, familiarity with how software is built is essential.
- SQL knowledge is a significant advantage, as many of our applications are data-driven.
- Experience in a leadership role or as a go-to person within a team, with a focus on mentoring and guiding colleagues.
- Familiarity with core technologies such as Java, Glassfish, and Oracle; experience with PHP and React Native is a plus.
- Previous experience leading teams, ideally with a mix of mid-level and junior developers.
Responsibilities
- Guide, support, and develop a busy, collaborative team of nine developers and DBAs, ensuring clarity, direction, and structure without micromanagement.
- Help the team deliver high-quality software across a varied project landscape, from maintaining existing systems to new feature development and greenfield builds.
- Collaborate with an excellent IT Director to ensure the team has the necessary tools, training, and development opportunities to grow.
- Foster an environment focused on teamwork, quality, and impactful work relevant to our organization’s mission.
