Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience managing developer infrastructure products and associated cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
- Experience managing commercial services and procuring third-party technology services
- Demonstrated ability to own and deliver product roadmaps and backlogs in an engineering-focused environment
- Familiarity with applying Agile and Lean practices within technical, cross-disciplinary teams
- Experience in user-centered product development, particularly with internal engineers and technical teams
- Ability to prioritize by outcome using approaches such as impact versus effort or cost of delay
- Skill in translating complex technical issues into clear decisions and trade-offs for senior stakeholders
- Capability to operate confidently in brownfield or legacy environments with competing priorities
- Experience supporting business cases for technology investment and measuring service outcomes such as adoption, usability, and performance
- Ability to hold or pass SC clearance for this role
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap and backlog for one or more shared technology platforms
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and delivery teams to reduce friction and improve user experience
- Help downstream teams ship faster and more safely
- Lead the management of developer infrastructure products and associated cloud technologies
- Oversee the procurement of third-party technology services
- Apply Agile and Lean practices within cross-disciplinary teams
- Develop user-centered products that meet the needs of internal technical teams
- Prioritize product features and developments based on outcome-driven metrics
- Communicate complex technical issues and trade-offs to senior stakeholders
Description
We are seeking a Cloud Digital Product Manager for our public sector client based in Exeter for an initial 10-month contract, offering a competitive rate of up to £563.42 per day (Inside IR35). This role supports hybrid working, with an expectation to attend the office three days a week. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about enhancing the usability and reliability of internal platforms while working effectively in a complex, legacy environment.
