Requirements
Must:
- You must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, preferably within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server) are desirable but not essential.
- Strong expertise with Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365 administration, managing SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Office software.
- Experience with Microsoft Server technology, including Hyper-V virtualization, DHCP, DNS, and licensing.
- Familiarity with Azure or on-premise Active Directory for managing domain services, users, security, and access groups.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking, including WAN and LAN connectivity, switching, and VLANs.
- Cybersecurity awareness, including Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Altaro/Hornet Security, 3CX, N-Able, and Unifi.
- Interest in cloud hosting technologies and applications (e.g., Linux, Apache, Nginx, PHP, Plesk, WordPress, Elementor) is advantageous.
- Experience working with RMM and ticket management systems.
- Familiarity with working with vendors and/or third-party suppliers.
- Experience with HP, Dell, and other leading manufacturers' hardware.
- Knowledge of VoIP telephony, both hosted and on-premises (preferably 3CX) is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- I will provide support for end-users across desktop, server, and network environments.
- I will configure and manage firewalls on multiple platforms, including Fortigate, Watchguard, PFSense, Draytek, and others.
- I will monitor and maintain system performance, including patch management, antivirus, and backups.
- I will administer Microsoft technologies such as Office 365, Azure AD, Active Directory, Exchange, and Windows Server.
- I will install and configure VoIP phone systems.
- I will monitor helpdesk tickets, respond in a timely manner, and document activities accordingly.
- I will document changes and solutions while updating training materials.
