Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in delivering large-scale, fault-tolerant systems
- Setting SLOs/SLIs
- Proficiency in Terraform and modern CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Harness, Jenkins, Spinnaker)
- Knowledge of Containers & orchestration (Kubernetes) and service mesh (e.g., Istio)
- Experience in API design & security (REST/OpenAPI, mTLS, authN/Z)
- Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- Depth in Cloud Expertise, with readiness to cross-train
- Experience with Azure: ARM/Bicep, AKS, Application Gateway, API Management, Azure Storage
- Familiarity with GCP: GKE, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Armor, Istio, Stackdriver, Jenkins, Apigee
- Relevant Azure or GCP certifications
Responsibilities
- Lead the Cloud Platform Engineering team in developing and deploying solutions
- Ensure the delivery of large-scale and fault-tolerant systems
- Set and monitor SLOs/SLIs to maintain service reliability
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using modern tools
- Collaborate with team members on API design and security
- Manage container orchestration and service mesh technologies
- Train team members in Cloud technologies as needed
- Oversee scripting activities for automation and efficiency

We are a large consultancy based in London, and we are seeking a Cloud Platform Engineering Lead for a 6-month contract inside IR35. This role offers a flexible work arrangement, requiring 2 days of remote work each week alongside 3 days on-site.
