Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in Kotlin/Java
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK
- Familiarity with Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and libraries for common tasks, benchmarking, and optimization
- Proficient in Googles Android design principles and interface guidelines
- Experience with code versioning tools, such as Git
- Understanding of SOLID Principles
- Experience with MVVM/MVI architecture and Android Architecture Components
- Familiarity with Jetpack libraries and Jetpack Compose
- Experience working in a modularized codebase
- Experience with UI testing
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin/Java
- Implement Android SDK features and best practices
- Design user interfaces according to Android UI principles
- Optimize application performance through offline storage and threading
- Utilize open-source libraries for enhancing application functionalities
- Apply SOLID principles while coding
- Collaborate with the team on MVVM/MVI architecture frameworks
- Maintain modularized codebase for reusable components
- Conduct UI testing to ensure high-quality user experience
- Version control code using Git
Description
We are a large consultancy based in Bristol, offering a 6-month contract opportunity for an Android Developer. Our team works collaboratively, with a hybrid work model allowing for 2 days of remote work each week.
