Requirements
Must:
- Experience with HP, Dell, and IBM servers
- Knowledge of server provisioning and configuration
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware faults
- Experience in hardware support and maintenance
- Strong communication skills for customer interaction
- Experience working in a data centre environment
- Ability to work on a shift rota including nights and weekends
Responsibilities
- Perform break-fix server repairs and maintenance
- Support trainee data centre engineers as required
- Troubleshoot and arrange replacement for hardware faults
- Install and decommission redundant equipment
- Provide expert hardware support to team members
- Maintain proactive updates on customer issues and resolutions
- Collaborate closely with all members of the support team
- Manage all incoming calls and emails related to data centre support
- Liaise with onsite support engineers and other sites
- Coordinate with third-party suppliers for customer problem escalation
- Respond to customer inquiries within agreed SLA
- Follow escalation processes for support tickets
- Monitor progress of tickets escalated to second line support
