Requirements
Must:
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Java (Java 17 preferred, Java 21 is a plus)
- Proficient in Spring Boot
- Experience with Jenkins, GIT, and CI/CD practices
- Familiar with Jira and Confluence
- Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools
- Scripting experience with shell/bash and Python
- Proficient in standard SQL query language and PLSQL
- Understanding of Agile principles and methodologies
- Excellent client-facing communication skills
- A DevOps mindset
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience with automation principles
- Familiarity with Core AWS Services and Infrastructure as Code
- Knowledge of application performance optimization
Responsibilities
- Support batch processing and conduct proactive analysis across squads and services.
- Triage and support Java products and provide Java application support.
- Review Java code and recommend improvements for quality and performance enhancements.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents, problems, and change requests.
- Offer expertise on business processes for projects and production support issues.
- Maintain core systems and relevant infrastructure, such as Kubernetes and SOLR.
- Improve batch efficiency and work on strategies for audit-ready data archiving.
- Provide data analysis to aid business decision-making.
- Deliver patching, database fixes, and essential data correction services.
Description

This exciting opportunity comes with multifaceted responsibilities, including infrastructure, application, and batch support, as well as developing and maintaining Grafana dashboards. On top of the salary range of £50,000 to £60,000, we offer a wide range of benefits including 25 days of holiday (8 flex days), private medical insurance, a performance-related bonus, and additional benefits focused on health and wellbeing.
