Requirements
Must:
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and experience in a DevOps or iterative development culture.
- Excellent knowledge and proven experience with continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) tools, including pipeline design and administration.
- Experience with automated testing and embedding this in CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrable experience in service support, including troubleshooting and incident resolution.
- Experience in identifying and tracking risks and issues.
- Experience in knowledge sharing and mentoring junior team members.
- Substantial development or scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Substantial experience in administration and configuration of Azure DevOps Pipelines or other CI/CD orchestration tools.
- Experience supporting the build and deployment of Python, .Net Core / C#, or NextJs / Node frontend.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform.
- Experience with containerization technologies and platforms like Docker or Azure services.
- Experience managing and supporting distributed source code repositories (Git).
- Experience of consuming cloud platform resources, preferably Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of the software development lifecycle by applying DevOps principles and leading the development, implementation, enhancement, and management of DevOps practices.
- Apply industry best practices and patterns across infrastructure and application components, focusing on availability, security, performance, and scalability.
- Lead the design, release, and implementation of automated, repeatable, efficient delivery pipelines, taking responsibility for management, delivery, and improvements of deployments to Production.
- Lead delivery, integration, administration, and configuration of DevOps tools, ensuring effective transitions to operational support where applicable.
- Implement and configure DevOps specific monitoring, alerting, auditing, and notification strategies, advocating for security and performance standards.
- Contribute to technical decisions and directions in a collaborative team environment, including solution architecture, estimations, and user stories creation.
- Attend team and Agile Scrum ceremonies.
- Share knowledge and expertise, providing mentorship and training to team members, enabling automated, repeatable workflows.
- Promote and encourage the use of test automation and infrastructure-as-code within delivery teams.
