Requirements
Must:
- Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Data Bricks, Python, and other data tooling.
- Experience in cleansing, preparing, and formatting data sets.
- Extensive experience with Azure SQL or other databases.
- Proven ability to design, code, test, correct, and document complex data pipeline scripts.
- Extensive experience in extracting, transforming, and loading data sets, particularly using SSIS packages.
- Awareness of designing scalable solutions and future-proof data services.
- Has played a key role in delivering technical solutions as part of large projects.
- Experienced with modern delivery models such as Scrum and Agile methodologies.
- Advocate of DevOps principles.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
Responsibilities
- Inspire best practices for data engineering products and services within teams and across the organization.
- Lead the development of data engineering capabilities by providing technical leadership and career development for teams.
- Collaborate with senior team members to advise on, identify, plan, develop, and deliver data engineering services.
- Support large-scale programs of work, providing guidance and assurance for data engineering work delivered by project teams.
- Lead the development of a world-class Data Engineering capability for the IPO.
- Work closely with project teams and third parties to ensure effective and efficient data pipelines.
- Understand data pipeline problems and new requirements, delivering appropriate solutions.
- Provide strategic influence across groups, projects, and products for cost-effective technology solutions.
- Formulate tactical plans that align with the data strategy roadmap.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to build relationships and understand transformation drivers of user groups.
