Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience with Python (essential), along with knowledge in AWS, Node.js, TypeScript, SQL, CI/CD, and DevOps tooling (Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker).
- Proven track record of leadership in guiding and mentoring engineering teams.
- Experience in delivering scalable B2C/B2B digital products with over 5,000 daily users.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- An ownership mindset focused on delivering value.
- Solid grounding in agile/lean development practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software and QA engineers.
- Provide architectural direction and hands-on technical guidance.
- Collaborate with Product, Experience Design, QA, and technical leadership teams.
- Influence and contribute to our technical architecture and technology choices.
- Conduct code reviews, support design discussions, and advocate for best practices.
- Deliver high-quality, scalable software through rapid iterations.
- Promote experimentation, innovation, and continuous improvement.

In these high-impact leadership roles, you will drive the development of cutting-edge technology aimed at revolutionizing English language learning and assessment. This position is ideal for a technically strong leader who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments and enjoys tackling challenging problems. We offer a 6-month initial contract at £650 per day (Inside IR35) with a hybrid work model, requiring just two days per week on-site in Stratford, London.
