We are looking for someone who is hands-on and keen to learn. While practical skills are much more important than technical ones, an interest and some basic understanding of networking would be beneficial. A willingness to engage in hands-on tasks is essential, as this role will primarily focus on installation rather than technical aspects initially.
Responsibilities
As a Junior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of our customers' networks. Your duties will include:
- Installing and maintaining networking and communications infrastructure.
- Building and installing steelwork bracketry, masts, and associated communications equipment.
- Installing internal and external wireless equipment, such as point-to-point microwave radios, CCTV cameras, mobile data routers, and network equipment, according to client specifications and within budget and time constraints.
- Completing site visit reports promptly.
- Meeting key performance indicators aligned with our company's objectives.
- Liaising with lead engineers, Project Managers, or the Engineering Manager to ensure prompt arrivals at job sites.
- Maintaining the company van, ensuring it is checked and stocked in consultation with more experienced engineers.
- Arriving at customer sites with a presentable and customer-friendly attitude.
Description
In this role, you will report to the Engineering Manager and Senior Engineers. You will be actively involved in hands-on installation work, including drilling holes and mounting equipment up and down ladders.
