- Ability to design specs, analyze systems, and support testing and user journeys.
- Experience working with data processing, integrations, and legacy modernization.
- Clear communication skills and confidence in dealing with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience leading or mentoring developers is an advantage.

Responsibilities
- Lead the maintenance and modernization of iSeries systems.
- Act as the lead developer for RPG and COBOL work.
- Design and deliver new features, integrations, and system updates.
- Oversee data processing workloads, ensuring outputs are accurate and delivered on time.
- Review external software to ensure integrations meet internal standards.
- Produce clear technical specifications and documentation.
- Collaborate with product, BI, research, developers, and other internal teams to shape solutions.
- Keep project leads updated on progress, managing priorities within the team.
- Support users by explaining technical changes in plain language and improving existing processes.
- Line manage the iSeries team, including workload planning, development, and pastoral support.

Description
We are offering a competitive salary of £58,000 - £62,000 for this permanent, full-time position. Our hybrid working policy allows for flexibility, though regular travel to Cardiff will be required. We provide 25 days of annual leave plus an additional 16 days, along with a generous 28% pension scheme. We pride ourselves on a supportive working culture with opportunities to develop skills. While Welsh language skills are not required, we welcome any interest in learning.
