Requirements
Must:
- Background in financial services, preferably mortgages, or experience in a highly regulated industry
- Proven experience with Java (versions 8+) building APIs and microservices using Spring Boot
- Full stack experience with React/TypeScript on the front end is ideal, but strong back-end engineers are also encouraged to apply
- Any cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a nice to have
- A passion for continuous learning and skill development, with a collaborative attitude
Responsibilities
- Focus on feature delivery within product engineering
- Coach and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, assisting in their skill development
- Collaborate with a new team to leverage AI for building features from scratch
- Utilize Cursor for AI model development
Description
We are a fintech scaleup based in Cardiff city centre, expanding our engineering team with two Senior Java Engineers. This hybrid role requires three days per week in the office, offering a dynamic and innovative work environment.
