Requirements
Must:
- Strong background in automation testing for microservices-based architectures.
- Hands-on experience building automation frameworks using Java or similar languages.
- Solid experience testing REST APIs, backend services, and service-to-service integrations.
- Proven experience validating data engineering pipelines (ETL/ELT, batch jobs, scheduled data builds).
- Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and analysis.
- Experience with data warehouses, data lakes, or big-data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Spark.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Experience working with Git-based version control.
- Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive automation and improve test maturity.
- Ensure the accuracy and resilience of data pipelines and backend services.
- Influence engineering best practices through technical insight and ownership.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks for testing.
- Conduct validation of data engineering pipelines and related jobs.
- Test and ensure the quality of REST APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate in a hands-on capacity to build scalable and reliable data products.
Description
We are a leading organization investing heavily in our data and engineering capabilities, seeking a Senior Automation QA Engineer to enhance the quality of our complex, distributed systems. You will be part of a dynamic team that values technical depth and ownership. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive automation and ensure the delivery of high-quality services and data products at scale. Please note that this contract is inside IR35, requiring collaboration through an umbrella company for the duration of the project.
