Requirements
Must:
- Established Software Engineer with experience coaching and mentoring juniors
- Full stack engineering experience (React/TypeScript on front end and Java 8+ with Spring Boot on back end) preferred, but solid back end engineers are welcome
- Commercial experience with Java (versions 8+) building APIs and microservices with Spring Boot
- Background in financial services, particularly mortgages, is ideal; understanding of a highly regulated industry beneficial
- Any cloud experience, particularly with AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus
- Eagerness to develop skills, learn new technologies, and collaborate with the team
Responsibilities
- Focus on feature delivery within product engineering
- Coach and mentor junior engineers to help them progress in their careers
- Develop new features leveraging AI within a new, leaner team
- Utilize Cursor for AI model development as part of the development process
- Build APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
