Requirements
Must:
- 2-4 years experience as an Infrastructure Engineer (or similar role)
- Experience with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support
- Experience supporting hardware and software systems
- Experience or exposure with Microsoft Azure cloud and/or AWS
Responsibilities
- Supporting Azure & V-Sphere estates, back-end systems, and services for the business
- Working within a collaborative team of approximately 15 engineers
- Implementing and monitoring system alerts to ensure immediate attention for any failures
- Identifying new system hardware and software needs
- Ensuring support tickets are appropriately recorded
- Aiding in the implementation of purchased hardware and software systems
- Liaising with the software development team for smooth roll-out of bespoke software systems
- Maximizing availability (uptime) of essential services
- Scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems
- Championing new systems in the business, ensuring appropriate training for all levels of users
- Ensuring compliance with licensing regulations
- Ensuring the security of the estate is not compromised
- Working within strict timeframes and escalating incidents as necessary
- Providing out of hours/standby support for scheduled maintenance and system failures
