Requirements
Must:
- Experience developing a team of engineers.
- Knowledge of working as a Cloud Engineer across multiple teams and projects in an agile environment.
- Experience delivering cloud-based services using modern technologies and tools.
- Hands-on experience with AWS.
- Interest in distributed systems and writing resilient, high-quality code.
- Infrastructure development and/or coding skills, with an understanding of the modern infrastructure development landscape and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Promote knowledge sharing and the adoption of good practices.
- Work with technical architects to translate architectural designs into operations and support them in operationalizing those designs.
- Lead and direct infrastructure specialist teams in building, managing, supporting, and maintaining solutions in accordance with departmental policy.
- Contribute to the Cloud Engineering community.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to your team.
Description
At DVLA, we are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join us as a Cloud Lead and help drive the next phase of our digital transformation. Our salary range is £55,515 - £80,400, plus excellent Civil Service benefits and over 28% employer pension contribution. Additionally, you will support application teams in building modern, cloud-first services that handle millions of transactions every day.
