Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 8 years of enterprise Software Development experience
- Expert with Python Development with up-to-date skills, including Web Development, Cloud (ideally Azure), Docker, and Testing
- Financial and/or trading domain experience required
- Strong understanding of maths, finance, and trading processes, including familiarity with concepts like PnL, greeks, volatility, partial derivative, normal distribution, etc.
- Ability to defend software engineering decisions to Quant Developers, Analysts, and Traders
- Expertise with DevOps tools, including Terraform and Github actions
- Experience with data engineering tools, including PySpark, Lakehouses, Kafka, etc.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Python Software Engineer on our Data Engineering team in London, I will support our Global Energy Commodities Trading teams. I will collaborate with Quant Developers to transform complex data models into software solutions for our traders. This role will involve both data and engineering components, which means I will have dual responsibilities encompassing software engineering and data engineering.
Description
We are particularly looking for candidates with experience in the energy commodities trading domain. Additionally, the ability to understand high-level mathematics will be a significant advantage in this role.
