Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a seasoned Linux Systems Engineer with senior experience in high-frequency trading (HFT) environments, particularly in tuning. You should have recent experience supporting front-office trading applications and low-latency environments, including familiarity with application stacks such as Photon Stack, and the infrastructure for futures and stocks. Proficiency in scripting with Python and Bash is essential, as well as expertise in infrastructure and application monitoring using Prometheus and Grafana. You should also be experienced with version control repositories (Bitbucket/Github) and CI/CD tools, have a solid understanding of networking fundamentals, and possess experience with cloud services, preferably AWS.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be part of a specialized infrastructure team working on designing, engineering, and supporting Linux-based systems and market data platforms in latency-sensitive trading environments. Your duties will involve managing infrastructure changes across co-located Linux servers, maintaining and monitoring real-time market data systems, and coordinating with vendors and exchanges regarding protocol updates and operational matters. Additionally, you will analyze packet captures to ensure data integrity, collaborate with market data capture providers to enhance performance, and implement robust monitoring solutions.

This is a permanent position that requires you to be on-site three days a week at our London office. We operate with a forward-thinking and performance-oriented approach, continuously optimizing server and network configurations and leveraging cloud infrastructure to support large-scale research and trading operations. Our overarching objective is to deliver fast, reliable, and scalable systems that empower systematic strategies to operate at peak efficiency. Plusses: Candidates with experience in FPGA cards, a majority of their career spent in high-frequency trading, and experience supporting market data feeds will be favored.
