Must:
I am looking for a skilled Platform Engineer who has proven experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer. You should have a strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and be proficient in scripting or programming languages like Python, Go, or Bash. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is essential, along with familiarity with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins. Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is required. Additionally, knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and Datadog is necessary. A solid grasp of Linux systems and networking fundamentals, as well as strong problem-solving and debugging skills, will contribute to your success in this role.
Responsibilities
As a Platform Engineer, your responsibilities will include building internal platforms and paved paths that abstract complexity and enable teams to deploy, operate, and monitor their services independently. You will codify infrastructure using tools like Terraform or Pulumi to ensure consistency, repeatability, and auditability across environments. Developing and maintaining developer tooling and golden templates, including CI/CD pipelines, scaffolds, and environments, to standardize best practices across teams will be part of your role. You will design and implement observability frameworks that are easy to consume and part of the platform baseline. Eliminating repetitive tasks through automation and opinionated defaults will be crucial, so teams are not blocked by manual requests or low-level details. Collaborating with engineers to understand common pain points and continuously improving platform usability, reliability, and documentation will also be among your key tasks. Lastly, you will embed security and compliance into platform tooling and workflows to ensure teams adopt safe patterns by default rather than by exception.
