Requirements
Must:
- A leading practitioner of Systems Engineering activities across several areas of activity, experienced in more than one phase of the lifecycle.
- A background in systems or a similar engineering discipline within a complex engineering environment.
- A minimum of a technical degree, equivalent qualification, or experience.
- Comfortable with resolving ambiguity in tasks, system, and requirements definition.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
- Delivery-focused with determination to make a positive difference.
- Proactively and pragmatically leads adaptation of approach to circumstances.
Responsibilities
- Research and concept development of systems solutions.
- Development and management of system requirements.
- Development of abstract architectures to describe systems.
- Design process engineering for hardware, software, and mixed technology systems.
- Conduct systems safety engineering, including the analysis of the systems safety requirements.
- Oversee systems integration, including structuring and partitioning of complex systems.
- Perform systems performance evaluation and apply it to verification and validation.
- Conduct system integrity analysis, including resilience and impact assessment.
- Evaluate through-life environmental impact of complex systems.
- Manage systems qualification and acceptance.
Description
In addition to the essential skills, you may have desirable experience working closely with demanding clients, a relevant technology discipline, process or tool, and experience using requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) or architecture approaches/tools (e.g., MODAF, NAF, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect). Additional qualifications such as CEng, CSEP, MSP, Prince2, APMP, ADKAR, Agile, or any relevant post-graduate qualifications will also be considered beneficial. To impress us, you should be able to understand complex concepts and communicate them in simple ways.
