Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 2 years experience in web development
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern frameworks (React, Vue, or similar)
- Experience with JAMstack architecture and headless CMS platforms
- Proficiency in PHP and frameworks such as Laravel
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and backend development
- Competence with HTML and CSS
- Strong understanding of MySQL databases
- Experience with WordPress for custom development
- Familiarity with version control using Git
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be permanently residing in the UK
- Ideally based within reasonable travelling distance of Bridgwater and Cardiff (South Wales, Somerset, Bristol, or surrounding areas)
Responsibilities
- Deliver development work to specification and deadline
- Build and maintain JAMstack applications using headless CMS platforms, static site generators, and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Develop backend services and APIs to support frontend applications
- Work on Laravel and Livewire projects, including package updates and new feature implementations
- Collaborate on WordPress projects, handling both backend and frontend development
- Develop bespoke PHP/MySQL applications as part of a wider team
- Support existing Craft CMS projects as needed
- Attend client meetings and workshops in person when required
