Must:
- Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in software/AI engineering with at least 3 years focused on LLM agents
- Proven experience building production AI agents, preferably using LangGraph or similar frameworks
- Strong coding skills and hands-on approach to building production systems
- Track record of translating complex domain knowledge into effective technical solutions
- Nice to have: Experience with machine learning fundamentals, model training, model evaluation, and ML operations
- Nice to have: Domain experience in biotech, biopharma, or life sciences, especially working with structure-activity relationship (SAR) data

Responsibilities
- Design and implement RAG AI agent flows to orchestrate complex, multi-step reasoning processes
- Develop context engineering strategies to optimize agent outcomes
- Integrate AI services with existing platform components, databases, and cloud infrastructure by implementing robust APIs
- Systematically validate and monitor agentic systems through comprehensive testing frameworks, evaluation metrics, and quality benchmarks
- Document AI system architectures, design decisions, and implementation patterns
- Participate in code reviews and set engineering standards for AI development
- Stay current with the latest developments in LLMs, agentic frameworks, and AI engineering best practices
Description
We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to build production-ready AI systems for software products in the biopharma industry. This full-time role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining AI-powered features using advanced technologies. You will work in a collaborative, agile engineering team, take ownership of the AI system lifecycle, and ensure our solutions are reliable and effective. Our competitive salary ranges from £80,000 to £100,000 per year. The position requires in-person work.
