Requirements
Must:
We are seeking candidates with at least 5 years of software development experience in distributed systems. You should possess strong coding skills in Python and Golang, and have hands-on experience with AWS/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab. A strong understanding of security principles, cryptography, and compliance in cloud environments is essential. Familiarity with monitoring tools, including ELK, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana, is also required. Additionally, experience in Agile environments is preferred.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain backend REST APIs and frontend client applications. You will work with Python, Golang, PostgreSQL, and Liquibase for service and database development. Your responsibilities will include deploying and managing services on AWS/GCP using cloud-native tools, collaborating with Architecture and DevOps teams to deliver new features, troubleshooting incidents, and optimizing performance.
Description
This position is based in Sheffield, Birmingham, or Edinburgh, offering a hybrid work model of 23 days onsite in 23 weeks. The contract duration is 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance. The rate for this role is up to £500 per day, categorized as inside IR35. We encourage candidates to be open to full-time employment conversion. Experience in financial services or other regulated domains, as well as knowledge of automation scripting (Terraform, Ansible), are considered desirable attributes.
