Requirements
Must:
- Strong hands-on experience with GE PowerOn Reliance (PoR) SCADA product used in Transmission SCADA environments
- Skilled in the configuration of SCADA and EMS modules within PowerOn Reliance
- Extensive experience with PoR modules such as Group Telecontrol, Automation, System Tracing, Symbol Design, Alarm Configuration, and related features
- Experience integrating PowerOn Reliance with external corporate application systems and enterprise interfaces
- Hands-on experience with setup and configuration of SCADA for simulation and testing of SCADA data flows
- Skilled in setting up and configuring multiple PoR components including Application Server, Database Server, Reports Server, FEP Server, Historian Database, DPF Application Server, and Proxy Server
- Good understanding of PoR cartography for network modelling, topology creation, and geospatial mapping
- Strong knowledge of both Windows and Linux server environments used within OT/IT systems
- Understanding of IT/OT cybersecurity standards, including NERC CIP compliance requirements
- Expertise in creating and executing test plans, test cases, acceptance testing, and supporting system transition activities
- Familiarity with industry standards and protocols related to power systems and control systems, including IEC 101, IEC 104, GI 74, IEC 61850, and IEEE power system standards
- Experience working within Agile methodologies and collaborating with cross-functional and Scrum teams
- Hands-on experience using test management tools such as JIRA and similar platforms
- Strong working knowledge of regulations, standards, and operational requirements governing modern power systems
- Ability to leverage utility domain knowledge to engage effectively with client utilities, understanding their operational practices, methodologies, and needs in Electric Distribution Operational Systems
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with system users and project teams to understand project scope, requirements, and operational workflows
- Provide expert services for the GE Power-On Reliance SCADA EMS System, covering functional, non-functional, interface, and integration testing
- Design comprehensive test scenarios and execute detailed test cases to ensure complete coverage across all system functionalities
- Review and analyze functional design documentation to validate that all test cases fully address system requirements
- Work within Agile Scrum teams, collaborating closely with Product Owners, SCADA SMEs, and business testers to create well-defined user stories and corresponding acceptance tests
- Monitor and report progress of test preparation and execution using JIRA/XRAY, ensuring adherence to defined testing processes
- Identify, document, and manage risks and issues related to testing, providing mitigation recommendations where needed
- Ensure consistency in testing approaches by following centrally defined Test Strategy, Test Approach, and Phase Test Plans
- Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test scripts
- Perform testing across multiple environments, including web, desktop, and mobile platforms
- Document defects through detailed and accurate bug reports, ensuring clear traceability and reproducibility
- Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure correct implementation and verification of requirements during testing
