Requirements
Must:
We seek candidates with knowledge of Checkpoint, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto Firewalls, particularly with Palo Alto and Checkpoint as a primary focus for about 65% of day-to-day operations. You should have an understanding of Routing and Switching concepts, particularly as it relates to the upcoming LAN refresh in our data centers, which will comprise 35% of the role. A solid grasp of Layer 2 and Layer 3 concepts is essential, and familiarity with ACI Fabrics, automation, and scripting would be beneficial. You should also have experience with ISE NAC and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds. A strong understanding of network fundamentals, including protocols like TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, network devices, and overall network architectures (LAN, WAN, WLAN), is required. Additionally, the ability to configure network devices using vendor-specific commands or tools, along with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, is critical. Familiarity with network monitoring tools and a good understanding of security principles concerning firewalls, VPNs, and data protection is also necessary.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for installing and configuring network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network equipment according to our specifications. You will troubleshoot any network issues that arise, diagnosing the cause and implementing effective solutions to restore functionality. You will also support network users, providing assistance with connectivity issues or inquiries about network resources. Maintaining clear and up-to-date documentation of network configurations is crucial, as this will aid in future troubleshooting and reference.
