Requirements
Must:
- Deep technical knowledge of SMP/E and z/OS internals
- Experience with third-party management tools like Broadcom Platinum and SYSVIEW
- Strong skills in DB2 subsystem management
- Knowledge of RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret for security implementation
- Experience in IMS installation and production DB2/IMS DBA support
Responsibilities
- Ensure high availability and optimal performance of the DB2 subsystem
- Use SMP/E to install, patch (PTFs), and upgrade DB2 subsystems
- Monitor and tune DB2 system parameters (ZPARMS), buffer pools, and EDM pools
- Design and implement backup and recovery strategies for the DB2 catalog and directory
- Install and maintain third-party products like Platinum and SYSVIEW for database management and monitoring
- Implement and manage DB2 security using RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret
Description
We are offering a 6-month contract opportunity based in London or Edinburgh, with a hybrid working model.
