Must:
We are looking for candidates with the following essential skills and experience:
- Proficiency in CI and CD automation, Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), Ansible, Jenkins, version maintenance tools, Grafana, Unix and shell scripting, and Azure.
- Familiarity with power transmission and distribution domain is desirable.
Responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Managing, securing, and continuously improving our organization's IT application CI/CD processes with a focus on security measures.
2. Demonstrating a strong understanding of software development and delivery lifecycles.
3. Utilizing your knowledge of DevOps organization and Agile methodology.
4. Overseeing software delivery and release processes with proficiency in CI/CD automation.
Description
This is a Contracting role based in Edinburgh, UK, with a hybrid working model. The in-office days will depend on customer requirements. We offer a 6-month assignment with the opportunity for ongoing work based on performance. We are seeking an experienced and hands-on DevOps Lead engineer who can integrate deeply technical knowledge across a broad range of DevOps tools and skills, while also possessing experience in troubleshooting, building, and releasing software. An end-to-end understanding of the development life cycle and the responsibilities within DevOps, such as automation, security, process management, and operations, is essential for this role.
