Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in Desktop Site and Remote Support Role
- Extensive knowledge of Desktop and Laptop Hardware and Software Management
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Tablets Device configuration and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of O365 Products and Services
- Knowledge of Device Security and Antivirus Programs
- Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and guide users
- Good customer-oriented attitude
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Powershell Scripting knowledge
- Experience with Windows registry changes/updates
- Extensive knowledge of Desktop hardware installation and setup
- UK Full Driving License (required for travel to multiple customer sites in/near Leiston)
- SC Clearance (mandatory)
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to users, including installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting of hardware and software systems
- Handle Windows 10/11 desktop and laptop builds and refurbishments, OS installation, and application installation via Azure AD
- Manage support tickets related to WIN-10/11 deployment issues and requests
- Guide users in the installation of applications and provide first-level support
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, tablets, and phones remotely
- Identify and resolve issues with services running on Windows 10/11 Operating systems
- Manage end-to-end infrastructure for Windows 10/11 devices and core applications
- Offer 1st line network support, user account creation, and support for Microsoft Exchange and printers
- Manage device security and antivirus programs
- Deploy Windows 10/11 patches
- Create and support meeting rooms
- Maintain current installation and configuration documentation and related processes
- Conduct periodic audits to assess the effectiveness of information security controls
- Physically move devices from build locations to user desks or arrange delivery
- Help create technical documentation, reporting, and manuals
- Prepare laptops/desktops for delivery, including unpackaging and repackaging
- Participate in business as usual operational support and project delivery as directed by the Line Manager
- Be prepared to travel across multiple locations in the UK based on project needs
- Work outside of regular hours when required by projects
Description
This is a 100% onsite role located in Leiston, UK, and candidates must be ready to work from the office every day. A site vehicle will be available for use when traveling to support users within approximately a 25-mile radius. The position does not have any supervisory or managerial responsibilities and is not applicable for budgets or targets. We prioritize candidates who possess excellent negotiating, client-facing, and teamwork skills. This role requires an assertive, supportive individual who can effectively communicate with stakeholders across the business while maintaining a strong customer-oriented focus.
