Must:
We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect (Amazon Connect Architect) with 15 years in architecture/engineering, including 10 years in contact center technologies and 5 years specifically with Amazon Connect. You must have a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale Amazon Connect implementations with complex integrations. A strong expertise in AWS services such as IAM, VPC, Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, Kinesis, CloudWatch, and DynamoDB is essential. Additionally, you should possess strong knowledge of security and compliance frameworks like GDPR, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and the NHS DSP Toolkit. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK, along with serverless development skills in Node.js or Python, is required.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, compliant architecture aligned with global regulatory standards. You will aim to achieve 99.99% availability, drive measurable improvements in customer satisfaction (CSAT) and net promoter score (NPS), and work to reduce average handling time (AHT). You will also oversee the full migration from legacy platforms within agreed timelines and governance frameworks.
Description
This position is based in Glasgow, UK, and supports a hybrid work model with a requirement of 3 days onsite per week. We offer both contract and permanent opportunities. Preferred qualifications include AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification and Amazon Connect specialization, as well as experience with Contact Lens, Wisdom/Q in Connect, Voice ID, and outbound campaigns. Familiarity with healthcare/public sector or regulated industries and knowledge of SIP, telephony routing, and Ofcom regulations are also advantageous.
