Responsibilities
- Provide advanced IT systems engineering support, both hardware and software, to Sembcorp UK
- Responsible for all LAN/WAN specification, installation, and support across UK sites
- Manage server infrastructure specification, installation, and support for all Sembcorp locations in the UK
- Specify and deliver IT hardware/software solutions aligned with user needs and SCU UK business strategy
- Provide deep technical assistance and user support to maximize IT system benefits
- Offer technical support for Server/Desktop, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and business applications
- Develop and implement standard Server/Desktop environments for reliability
- Provide professional technical advice, configuration, and installation of hardware/software at user desktops
- Conduct advanced hardware/software configuration, fault-finding, and problem resolution
- Assist Helpdesk and end users with specialist IT knowledge and support
- Provide technical advice for purchasing hardware/software to meet business requirements
- Identify areas for cost savings in IT
- Investigate and trial new technology for possible implementation to advance the business
- Provide user training, hints, tips, and assistance on SCU UKs systems and applications
- Be available for out-of-core-hour support as per a formalised rota
- Travel to other Sembcorp UK sites for support as required
