Responsibilities
As an IT Support Engineer, you will:
- Provide first-line technical support to clients via phone, email, or in person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic IT issues related to hardware, software, networking, and peripherals.
- Document all support incidents in our ticketing system, including symptoms, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate support teams, following established procedures.
- Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Install and upgrade software applications, perform system updates, and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Educate end-users on basic IT procedures, best practices, and self-service resources to empower them to resolve simple issues independently.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other support teams to share knowledge, solve problems, and enhance service delivery.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Description
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to join our team on a permanent full-time basis in Peterhead. Please note that this position is office-based with no hybrid option. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00. The salary starts at £25,000.00 per year.
