Requirements

Must:
- I am seeking candidates with an accredited Master’s degree in Architecture (RIBA Part III or transferable equivalent). - ARB Registration is required. - Typically, I look for candidates with 5+ years of experience, particularly in Education projects. - Proficiency in Revit is essential. - Experience working to Department for Education specifications and briefs is crucial. - I prefer candidates who are proficient in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, and 3D modeling software (including Rhino and Grasshopper). - Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and InDesign graphic software is preferred. - Proficiency in the MS Office Suite is an asset. - A strong knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelines is important. - Candidates should have a strong understanding of architectural building systems and the QA/QC process. - Knowledge of building codes and the ability to research and apply/incorporate this knowledge into technical documents is necessary. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential. - I value candidates who can maintain existing client relationships and build new ones. - Proficiency in BIM360/ACC is desirable.

Responsibilities

- I expect you to work with contractors on school projects. - You will lead client engagement sessions with trusts and schools. - You will prepare or modify complex detailed implementation documents and drawings with minimal supervision, utilizing your diverse knowledge of architectural principles and advanced techniques. - You may lead the team in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problems with limited guidance. - You will execute deliverables according to the scope of services, client standards, best practices, and quality expectations. - You will assist with technical resolution and coordination for a defined portion of a project. - I need you to validate that code and zoning requirements for your assigned segment of the project are met. - You will prepare client presentations and present design concepts and drawings as needed. - It is crucial that you understand and support negotiations on critical issues with the project team. - You will perform product research and assist project designers with materials and systems evaluation to make appropriate selections. - You will participate in team meetings to discuss project issues, technical issues, and coordination with other disciplines. - You may attend on-site visits, field reviews, and project meetings and document them as appropriate. - I expect you to support the business development process by identifying new opportunities, marketing to current clients for repeat business, and assisting with proposals, budgets, and schedules. - Some travel may be required.
