Must:
We are seeking a UK National with a minimum of 5 years consecutive residency in the UK due to government security vetting requirements. The ideal candidate may be an experienced CTO/Director or someone transitioning from a Software Development Manager or Head of Software role. We value a combination of deep technical expertise, strong leadership abilities, project management skills, and cross-functional collaboration experience.
Responsibilities
In this leadership role, I am responsible for guiding our engineering team to successfully deliver software products. My key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring a team of software engineering leads, developers, and technical staff.
- Defining team structure, hiring top talent, and driving professional growth and development.
- Fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
- Defining and executing a long-term software architecture and technology strategy.
- Guiding the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing systems.
- Overseeing technical quality through code reviews, testing standards, and documentation.
- Owning the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Setting engineering objectives and key results (OKRs), monitoring progress, and continuously improving delivery processes.
- Partnering closely with Product, Design, QA, Operations, and Business stakeholders.
- Translating business requirements into technical solutions and resource plans.
- Serving as the technical voice in executive discussions and strategic planning.
- Ensuring all systems and software meet internal standards and external compliance requirements.
- Overseeing incident response, vulnerability management, and disaster recovery plans.
