Requirements
Must:
- Good understanding of IT fundamentals, including how software and hardware interact.
- Familiarity with Windows Operating Systems (user settings, driver management, configuration).
- Basic understanding of PC hardware components and peripherals.
- Knowledge of Office 365 applications and common use cases.
- Basic networking knowledge, including IP addressing, gateways, and DNS basics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with clients of varying technical ability in a calm, clear, and professional manner.
- A problem-solving mindset, able to gather information, analyze issues, and implement solutions independently.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership for resolving support tickets.
- Desirable: Understanding of how PCs operate in enterprise environments (Active Directory, domain-joined devices, user permissions, shared drives).
- Desirable: Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or similar client-facing IT support role.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote IT support via phone and email to clients with a variety of technical backgrounds.
- Diagnose and resolve basic IT issues involving Windows OS, O365 applications, PC hardware, peripherals, and internet connectivity.
- Perform common troubleshooting steps for hardware, software, and network-related problems.
- Accurately record all support requests and actions taken within our job logging system.
- Ensure SLAs are met by taking ownership of tickets, following up as needed, and escalating appropriately.
- Communicate clearly with clients to extract relevant information and explain solutions.
- Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to share knowledge and manage workloads effectively.
