Requirements
Must:
- I require 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in Software Testing or as a QA Analyst, with a strong foundation in both manual testing and supporting automation frameworks.
- You should have experience with manual testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) and test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or X-ray will be beneficial.
- Experience working in agile teams, collaborating with developers, product managers, and DevOps to meet sprint goals and deadlines is essential.
- A strong attention to detail and analytical skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues effectively are necessary.
- Familiarity with Git for version control to collaborate with team members on code repositories is expected.
- A good understanding of SQL queries to validate data and interact with databases is required.
- Basic familiarity with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.) to contribute to automation efforts, with a willingness to grow your skills, knowledge, and qualifications in this area.
- Exposure to testing in cloud environments (e.g., AWS and Azure) and an understanding of microservices architecture is advantageous.
- An ISTQB Foundation level certification or similar certification in Software Testing or Quality Assurance is preferred.
- An understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Performance Testing (via Gatling, Load Runner, Locust), and CI/CD practices (via CircleCI or Jenkins or similar) would be very useful.
Responsibilities
- In this role, you will be responsible for performing hands-on manual testing, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
- You will collaborate closely with other QA professionals, product managers, developers, and DevOps teams in an agile environment to ensure product quality and stability.
- Your contributions will include creating clear test documentation, managing defect lifecycles, supporting automation frameworks, and executing SQL queries to validate data and interact with databases.
Description
- We are offering a position based in Exeter, Devon, with hybrid-working options that require a minimum of two days in the office each week. - The salary for this position is around £40,000 per year, along with excellent company benefits, including a pension scheme, bonuses, life insurance, and healthcare. - Please note that this role will not be fully remote, and there is no flexibility regarding the two days per week required in the Exeter office.
